Terms of Use and Map Rights
Version dated 16 August 2026
1. The service
THS2 provides a website, API, and mobile application for storing, preparing, viewing, and securely downloading offline maps. The operator and service provider is self-employed individual Azat Maratovich Akhmetshin, taxpayer ID 027507112885, Ufa, Russian Federation; contact: akhmetshin.azat@gmail.com.
By creating an account or using protected features, you accept these terms. By paying for a plan, you also accept the corresponding order terms and enter into a service agreement for its stated term.
2. Accounts and acceptable use
- You must provide a valid email and protect passwords and access tokens.
- Bypassing limits, bulk automated catalog extraction, attacks, malicious files, and use of another person's account are prohibited.
- Size, quota, job, and request-rate limits may be enforced for stability and security.
- Maps must not be the sole source for safety-critical navigation, rescue, cadastral, or other decisions requiring guaranteed accuracy.
3. User maps
By uploading a map, you represent that you created it, obtained the required rights, or otherwise have a lawful basis to use it. You retain your rights and grant THS2 only the limited permission needed to store, technically process, preview, and deliver the file through selected service functions.
Store publication requires rights covering the source image, georeferencing, tile database, metadata, and other protected elements. The operator may request evidence, hide a product, or remove access following a substantiated complaint.
4. Store materials
A product page describes a digital file and its technical preparation, including validation, georeferencing, PMTiles conversion, metadata, preview, and THS2 compatibility. It does not transfer exclusive rights in a source map or third-party materials.
Public-domain works may be used within applicable law while respecting authorship, the author's name, and the integrity of the work. Other materials remain subject to the terms stated on the product page and by the source.
5. Plans, payment, and refunds
A paid plan provides an increased quota for the user's own files and server-generated results for the selected term. It does not transfer ownership of infrastructure or third-party material. Maps added from the store are held as shared server copies and do not consume personal quota.
The price, term, quota, and discount are shown before payment and snapshotted in the order. Payment is processed in Russian rubles by YooKassa. A plan activates only after payment confirmation. Monthly and annual periods run from activation to the corresponding calendar date. Repurchasing the same active plan extends it; changing to another plan starts the new plan immediately and does not automatically convert unused time.
The user may voluntarily enable automatic renewal during payment. Before confirmation, THS2 shows the first payment, billing period, and exact subsequent charge. The user authorizes THS2 to initiate a payment through the method saved by YooKassa at the end of each paid period until renewal is turned off. THS2 never receives or stores card credentials and retains only YooKassa's payment-method identifier. Renewal can be turned off on the billing page at any time before the next charge without shortening the already paid term. A changed recurring amount requires renewed user consent.
After expiry, the free quota applies. An over-quota account becomes read-only: files can be downloaded and deleted, but new data cannot be uploaded or processed. The service sends warnings to the account email. After the retention period shown in the interface, the oldest personal files above the free quota may be permanently deleted. Store products and rights to maps acquired from the store are not affected. The user must download needed data or renew the plan in time.
Cancellation and refund requests can be sent to akhmetshin.azat@gmail.com with the account email and payment details. Requests are handled under applicable law, taking account of service already provided and actual expenses. These terms do not restrict mandatory consumer rights. If paid access cannot be provided due to a confirmed technical failure, the operator restores the term or refunds the corresponding amount.
6. etomesto.com maps
Maps prepared from publicly available etomesto.com materials are always provided free of charge in THS2. Their description or preview includes an active “Georeferencing: etomesto.com” link, and known source-map authors are retained in metadata.
THS2 does not accept or publish non-public etomesto.com maps distributed for payment or activity points. Use is subject to the etomesto.com material rules. PMTiles conversion does not remove the rights of the georeferencing author or source-work authors.
7. Coverage, quality, and availability
Coverage, year, scale, and related metadata may be approximate. Useful coverage can be smaller due to blank sheet margins, missing tiles, or edge tiles. Historical maps may contain errors, obsolete names, and inaccuracies.
The service is provided subject to technical availability. Keep independent backups of your own files.
8. Rights complaints
A rights holder or authorized representative may submit a complaint through a product page with contact details, a description of the right, and supporting information. Material may be hidden during review. Knowingly false complaints are prohibited.
9. Restriction and termination
Features or accounts may be restricted for violations of law, these terms, third-party rights, or service security. Where practical, the user is notified and given an opportunity to remedy the issue. Users may delete their maps and request account deletion by email.
10. Governing law and changes
Russian law applies. Please first send disputes to akhmetshin.azat@gmail.com. The current version is published at this address and its date is updated for material changes.
